Thank you to those who have returned the Parish Surveys.  I am three quarters of the way looking through the returns, but there is still a lot of work to do collating the data into a form that is suitable for presenting to the diocese.

Thank you for your response, there are some very helpful suggestions, as well as a few misconceptions that I will need to dispel.

Youth Sunday

Sunday 23rd November - Feast of Christ the King is also Youth Sunday,

Could any Liskeard children who are not taking part in First Communion or Confirmation sessions, please see Lesley in the St Neot room after Mass next Sunday 16th November.  We would like as many young people to take part in the Mass as possibile.  There will be a rehersal on Friday 21st November at 5:30pm, in the Church.

Saltash Autumn Fair

Many thanks to all who helped with the Autumn Fair in Saltash this weekend, especially those who travelled from other parts of the Parish.  The financial results will be make known next week, but it is important to remember that these events are also important in building up fellowship in the community and demonstrating its vitality and commitment.

Aid to the Church in Need

You may have seen or heard about this Catholic charity in the news recently.  Their recent report on religious freedom gained a lot of coverage and Prince Charles, Duke of Cornwall has recorded a video message of support.  The local secretary of this excellent charity will be giving an appeal in the parish on December 6th (Torpoint and Sclerder) and 13th (Saltash and Liskeard).  There will also be an opportunity to buy Christmas cards and  gifts from the Holy Land.

Last years accounts have now been signed off by the auditor, and a meeting of the finance committee - representing all four communities - has been arranged to discuss these and our future budget.  Following this meeting there will be a presentation of the accounts to each of the communities; how and when are yet to be determined.
